How has your experience been on the Google Blog. Have you considered posting your own questions? Have you answered other classmates questions? What other ways would you have preferred to communicate as a class?
My experience blogging has been good. I have not had any tried to post a question or really answered anyone else's questions. I always prefer face to face communication over anything, but by blogging I it is a quick way to find answers to questions.
I like this blog site a lot, lots better than the new livetext. My reading clinic student and I have been using a blog to organize his writing samples and we've had lots of fun adding pictures, changing the templates and even learning some basics about html formats. About livetext- it would be really cool if there was a way to write a brief note to your reviewer when you send something for review.
Raechel> We mentioned sending comments along with reviews is possible when you "submit assignments" We briefly talked about on the first night of class. I thought Dr. Gut is the type of person that you would want to send a plea for mercy along with your assignment.
To give comments select the comments button under the submissions tab of your assignment.
The blog site is way less confusing than LiveText (LT), so I don't mind using it. I like that Tom puts easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions on how to use LT because it continues to mystify me! And I like that we can post questions at any time and get a response shortly thereafter! I've found most of the answers to my questions on the blog because others have already asked the questions.
Blogging hasn't been as frightening as I first expected. To be honest I really haven't had the time to navigate the features but I definitely appreciate the introduction as I will pursue exploration once there is more time. It is helpful to read other people's concerns and questions as they have answered questions I have forgotten to ask. Thank you!
I don't mind blogging either. I like the comments given and am sure they will prove useful once I navigate LiveText further. I submitted my IEP last week, attaching a word document, and found it extremely easy and very quick. It felt much easier than the old version. Picking up reviews I found much easier as well. The old version made you go back and forth so much. It seems to make more sense now.
Tom, You did a nice job explaining the resubmission. Thank you for the step by step. In the future, it might be nice to have an email update letting us know you are going to give those sorts of instructions. I suppose, I should just know to go and check the blog for help. thanks again.
